History: Born in the south to a Shepherd, Katherine learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Like her father and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Ploughman. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
