He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Half-Elven doctor. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of giants once and for all.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered dancing. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Ovak's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She has all her life been fascinated with poetry.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She was granted necromantic powers by her dying sister.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His first spouse was a Locksmith, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
