History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Half-Elves became a terror of the countryside. After a long history of fighting, Norman and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it; and to prove her worth to the world
