History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Shivering grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Shivering. Being a Painter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
