History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Tanner. She now owns her own business.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Sheggen's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Healer who has hired him part-time. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. While he appears to be a normal Dwarf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. After a long history of fighting, Beloril and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: She is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. Jaxi is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her sisters into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: Jaxi lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her martial abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Fortune-teller and was forced into it by her family; and regain custody of her daughter

History: He comes from a rich western family. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs
