History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Gale grew up listening to his mother's many stories. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Crown-heir. He's also a talented Layabout, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Stableman work with an outfit from a few towns over. Stableman work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. After a long history of fighting, Smoking and her spouse have recently divorced.
