History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She has dedicated herself to building a better trade route.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Ilanis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She has a small toy that she constantly fidgets with.
