She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. The war was a terrible time for him, and Theobald does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He worked as a nervous Spy and found it very stressful. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Birel has worked very hard to control her curse. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Bella grew up listening to her father's many stories. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.
