Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. She has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Vanchu was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. After a long history of fighting, Astar and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Barkeep arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She found a children's book about a Half-Elf Adept who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
