History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Through the years after Tordrid was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Tordrid's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. Some 3 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Tordrid never married again.
