He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Description: This northern man is abnormally tall. He is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. His whole body is exceptionally muscular. With bright silver hair and a scraggly beard. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He was born into a rich family. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he is greedy

Description: A stocky darker skinned woman, she is well dressed, constantly wearing a grey suit, pastel shirt, and brown tie. She has styled her blonde hair well, parting it to the right. She has a tattooed face.

Personality: She is a jovial happy person, but she is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. She also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: She's attracted to the PC; and a deep hatred of orcs

Description: This fat western man has a bulbous nose and wears a yellow coat over a green low-cut shirt, and a Stetson hat upon his head. His skin is also unnaturally pale. His tied-back hair is black. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was raised in a forest tribe. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Berrian took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up bastard sword and armor he uses now. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
