History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She was granted divine powers by her dying sister.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 81. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: He got into the Cartwright business at a young age. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. She takes great joy in being the best Marshal in town.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Oriff grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Oriff. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Through the years after Trynnicus was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Trynnicus's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and to reunite with his absent mother
