History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Gurdis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. While she appears to be a normal Dwarf, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She has achieved small success as a Weaver.
