She is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. She has a very tight haircut. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: Carlin wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Commoner, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of her. She is by nature obliging.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. While she appears to be a normal Gnome, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep white.

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of drow once and for all.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Xappan alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he wants revenge against drow

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Shepherd born in the past three hundred years. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the south were limited. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Shepherd.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Zook liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and wants to raise his children well
