Personality: Gardain is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Guard business.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents enrolled him in a Cleric school at a young age so that he could practice his psionic talents. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: He was born into a rich family. He has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

History: Akta hails from a village terrorized by giants. Akta was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Akta decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
