History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Hugh was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Trail was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
