His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Being a Sellsword kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Personality: She runs her personal life as if detached from it. She organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits she will get from it. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Herbalist but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: She is a Slaad in disguise. She found a children's book about a Half-Elf Adept who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and wants her loneliness to end
