History: He was born into a rich family. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Igden is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Igden was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Gnomish conditions. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.

Description: A woman with a cold, calculating air about her, she wears a grey vest and prefers violet and brown shirts. Her boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. Her moppish silver hair is in a traditional bowl cut. Her violet eyes peer out from beneath her small grey hat.

Personality: She speaks before she thinks and is too direct. She will do just about anything if she becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this she is easily convinced.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Painter. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: To settle down with her crush; and she's attracted to the pc

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. A gifted student he started as a Servant, but he got bored and became a Tanner. He became a Tanner soon after.
