Description: He is of a modest build and height, but he carries himself more imposing than he is. He wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body. His silver hair is heavily combed to the right. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.
Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. The war was a terrible time for him, and Eldon does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.
History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Eldon was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and a deep hatred of dire rats

Description: She is generally shirtless and showing off her tattooed chest. Her attire stands in sharp contrast to her ceremonial dagger, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a card on it. Her brown hair is singed and shortened. Her green eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.
Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. She is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with her old comrades. She has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.
History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Enidda was orphaned to a temple shortly after her birth. She was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above herself and to hold her god always in her heart. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and obtaining odd cultural tiefling artifacts is her passion

Description: This late middle aged man wears an entirely black suit with green socks and a vest with buckled shoes and is in decent physical shape. He wears a colorful flower in his chestnut hair. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.
Personality: He is a Gardener first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.
History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Gardener. He's also a talented Dilettante, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Gardener responsibilities is difficult.

Description: He wears a fancy black suit. He carries with him a set of pickaxes, each one with a emerald on the hilt. He only wears one on his belt and the other on his back. His hair is long and auburn with streaks of silver, and is pulled back with small black clips. His beard is silver, braided, and well cared for. His blue eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.
Personality: He is a Marshal first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.
History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Mord grew up listening to his mother's many stories. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Marshal and occasionally as a mercenary.
Motivation: To pay off his debts.

Description: This woman wears a custom-built plate barding that's adorned with tan lining and desert motifs. She is muscular with a powerful set of arms. Her hair is cut close to her head. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.
Personality: She is fixated on the number 74. She counts her steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. She seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. A true patriot, Callybon would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.
History: Callybon was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. While she appears to be a normal Gnome, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
Motivation: Further expansion of business; and wants to open a new tavern
