History: Ermina lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature lance.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to reunite with his old friends

Personality: She runs her personal life as if detached from it. She organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits she will get from it. The war was a terrible time for her, and Chaedi does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it; and she feels kind of lost in life
