Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Varis is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Like her father and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Navigator. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Navigator for the past few years.
