History: Born in the north to a Detective, Tricking learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She tends to her Detective job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: To be a Layabout again; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

Description: She wears a robe, a symbol of luck around her neck, and a sickle on her belt, but does not cut a very imposing figure. She walks with a slouch but will stand straight to her full 4'11" when asserting herself. She wears a colorful flower in her yellow fur. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: Smoking is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. She has all her life been fascinated with writing.

History: Smoking was born with her mother's beautiful face. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Smoking fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Description: This woman is very fat, and wears well tailored gowns and hats with beautiful decoration. She is almost always dressed for an outing in high society. She wears a broad hat to hide her balding. Her gold unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: She seems absolutely devoid of it. She stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. She has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a woman enough she will sell her own mother. Money is her most trusted friend.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A freak accident while working with her Weaver father left her crippled. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To end her boredom; and she seems to be bored by most things
