Personality: She swings through moods quickly. One moment she is cool and collected, the next she is carried away by passions. She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Merla was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Monk, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Monk in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to her current location. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Halfling companion (her 'brother'). She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Body Guard hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was granted divine powers by her dying sister.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the east; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
