History: Bernard was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Priest. He has achieved small success as a Priest.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and doesn't want to be a priest and was forced into it by his family

Personality: Helen is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. She enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and a deep hatred of dire rats

Personality: She is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. The war was a terrible time for her, and Bune does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her martial abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She was granted martial powers by her dying brother.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out.

Description: An older woman who wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized tan coat, she is not a threatening figure. Her hair is long and chestnut with streaks of red, and is pulled back with small tan clips. Her blue eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: She does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: Breena was born with her mother's beautiful face. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Fortune-teller.

Motivation: She has passion for adventuring and risk; and she wants to meet her childhood hero

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. Lia enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She tends to her Map Maker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and she is greedy
