History: Gerard was born with his father's beautiful face. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Fortune-teller. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes goblins are coming to abduct people. She would rather hide behind her crafts than deal with other people.

History: Purah hails from a village terrorized by goblins. Her parents were killed by goblins in a raid when she was still a young child. The goblins captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by goblins. Purah was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the goblins.

Motivation: A deep hatred of goblins; and many goblins want her driven away
