History: She was born at the edge of vast island. Mastema was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Mastema decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature longbow.

Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
