History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Gilthur was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: She is generally well dressed albeit a few years behind the times. Her chestnut hair is drawn into a tight pony tail with a skull scrunchie. Her gray eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: Calm and collected, she is a well trained Sage. Despite her manner, she is extremely passionate and proud of her job, and she prides herself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: The child of a Carter, who enjoyed hunting, Eran was taken on many hunting expeditions. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Sage. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Sage for hire.

Motivation: Expand her business; and money/treasure

Description: This man is tall and muscular. He wears a white shirt, with a black mid length shorts with black tights and flats, usually wearing a coat over them. His silver hair is singed and shortened. His eyes are hazel and catlike.

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: His druidic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Detective and was forced into it by his family; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Description: His right side is far more bruised and cut up than his other. He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright pastel and tan, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. He has black fur. His hazel eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
