Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gifted student he started as a Stylist, but he got bored and became a Ruler. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: She was born in a small plains village. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Animal Trainer. She's also a talented Stylist, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Expand her business; and she is terrified, and will act out of fear
