The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Carter arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He now mingles about in high society.
