History: The child of a Adventurer, who enjoyed hunting, Gennal was taken on many hunting expeditions. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Gennal grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Gennal. He guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. She constantly seizes attention wherever she goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. She likes to think of herself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Born to a Slave Trader, her mother struggled to pay the bills. Volen was born on a far eastern mountains where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Painter. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
