History: Sheggen lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered north to less war torn lands. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Uadjit grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats.

Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Half-Elven activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Half-Elven doctor. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the west. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and seeks redemption

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Her arcane abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She was granted arcane powers by her dying sister.
