History: Valanthe lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gifted student she started as a Marshal, but she got bored and became a Bookbinder. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Bucklal and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear.
