History: Gifted from a young age, Manfred studied abroad. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Harriet alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She wants revenge against illithids.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Layabout work with an outfit from a few towns over. Layabout work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 10 years.

Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Halflings became a terror of the countryside. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.
