History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his blue eyes.

Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has achieved small success as a Blacksmith.

Personality: She likes to fabricate stories about her past exploits and how crazy she is, but in actuality she is rather bland. Around other people she will do her best to conceal her emotions and appear jolly.

History: She was born into a rich family. Her parents were killed by giants in a raid when she was still a young child. The giants captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by giants. Mardred was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the giants.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and someone believes her a fraud

Personality: She hates brigands. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: Birel was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by brigands. Birel was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the brigands.
