History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Rûg has worked very hard to control his curse. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: She speaks before she thinks and is too direct. She takes great joy in being the best Courier in town.

History: Gifted from a young age, Oriel studied abroad. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Courier for the past few years.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Mantus was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the brigands.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he wants revenge against brigands
