History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Orsik alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She has decided she is irredeemable; and she has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day
