Description: The woman speaks with an almost imperceptible accent. She seems to always be the slightest bit damp as if she got out from a pool a few moments ago. She wears a white costume with the symbols of strength on her torso. Her hair is brown and very short. Her blue eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: Merla is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. A true patriot, Merla would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the east were limited. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Description: This woman is unhealthily muscled, almost every single one of her veins is visible when she is not flexing. Her shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for her due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. Her deerstalker hat is riddled with cuts and holes. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. While she appears to be a normal Dragonborn, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and to clean up the streets

Description: He is armored in gleaming platemail with gilded edges. A flowing brown cape and mantle trimmed with soft white waves gently in the breeze, and he perpetually has his shortbow ready. He has a long red beard with little hanging trinkets. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines hazel.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Arnold was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Arnold fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
