History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Nim alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Vani's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She feeds upon the attention of others.

History: Vani was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Adept, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Adept in service of a powerful lord somewhere. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Sculptor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In her 13th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
