History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. At some point he was captured by illithids and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
