History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Roger was born the youngest of three triplets. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the north. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift.
