In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Ribbles alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Jeweler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.
