History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Navigator arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Kody was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Adrie alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
