Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

History: Marbas was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Marbas alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it.
