History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the east. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Beneath his clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. His chestnut hair is well kept and his bushy mustache is tapered upwards at the ends. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Ruler. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Garl is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Ruler. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Garl fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Ruler responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Buvvie embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her father. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Buvvie was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She bought a sword and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Morthos grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature lance.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and he is wracked by social anxiety

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: He was born into a rich family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. After a long history of fighting, Aelar and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and a deep hatred of dire rats
