Her parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when she was still a young child. The gnolls captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. She pushes her goals aggressively. She is also a coward if confronted.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In her 14th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Shepherd. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Shepherd.

History: Heward was born the youngest of three triplets. He dropped out of school to support his sick father, and resented it. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and wants to raise his children well
