He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: Tim was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Marshal. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. While she appears to be a normal Tiefling, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She has achieved small success as a Architect.
