History: She was born on a small isolated farm. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and she's looking for her big break

Description: She is a small woman, but exceptionally fit. She wears light armors faded through time and improper care. Her moppish brown hair is in a traditional bowl cut. Her eyes are violet and she is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: She is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. She is fiercely devoted to her mother, and views her mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and doesn't want to be a miller and was forced into it by her family

Description: A well shaped woman just over fifty, she does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when she can avoid it. She has styled her white hair well, parting it to the right. This gray eyed southerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Oolah is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Born in the south to a Gardener, Oolah learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She's also a talented Mayor, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Modean was born on a far southern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Healer. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
