Personality: She hates Half-Elves with a passion. As such she is filled with self loathing. She uses her nature as a weapon; she likes to lead opponents to think her in distress.

History: Meriele hails from a village terrorized by illithids. At some point she was captured by illithids and was tortured. After several years of this she finally managed to escape. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and revenge

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
