His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Elf in existence. She disdains her fellow northerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: She was raised in a plains tribe. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She would rather hide behind her crafts than deal with other people.

History: She was born in the south. Her father was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and to end her boredom

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Through the years after Skak was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Skak's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
