Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Mardred embodies much of what other species detest in the Dwarves. She has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Mardred grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Mardred. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. He has never given up on his dancing dream.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Description: He wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with small hat. He carries a battered pickaxe and tarnished shield as well. His hair is silver and curly. His blue unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Painter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved.

Description: Standing 6'10", this man is wearing dark clothing and a heavy breastplate, keeping many of his physical features obscured. His black hair is braided into rings. His eyes are likewise gold. His teeth are white and perfect.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Damakos grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and wants his loneliness to end

Description: This man is bedraggled and starved. He wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body. His auburn hair is styled in orderly dreadlocks. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. The war was a terrible time for him, and Nuraval does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Nuraval was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Ploughman for hire.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he loathes his own lifestyle
